One of the biggest competitions in Africa is a competition that brings together the champions in the league from the countries in this continent which is called CAF Champions League “CAFCL” where this competition was started in 1964 and was called African Cup of Champions Clubs before in 1997 it was changed and called as it is called now CAF Champions League.
In recent years, Tanzanian teams have been trying to do well in the league and build respect for themselves, starting with Simba SC who have participated in five seasons and are the only teams that have entered the quarter-finals for five consecutive seasons.
Last season, Yanga SC did well in the African Confederation, while in the 2023/2024 season, they managed to enter the quarter-final stage after 26 years, making Tanzania the only country that has two teams that have successfully entered the quarter-final stage.
Throughout that period, today we have brought to you the teams that once gave big defeats in the African champion club and even those that once received those defeats where it has remained history in the CAF lockers.
